What Is a Kumys Product and How It Differs from Classic Kumys

Classic kumys is a product of lactic acid and alcoholic fermentation of fresh mare's milk, traditional for the nomadic peoples of Central Asia.

BioClub kumys product is made using the same dual fermentation technology, but from freeze-dried (reconstituted) mare's and cow's milk. This makes it possible to produce the drink year-round — independent of the mare-milking season (read more about the benefits of kumys).

Freeze-drying is a gentle method: milk is dehydrated at low temperature, which preserves proteins, vitamins and minerals. After reconstitution and fermentation, the product is close to classic kumys in composition and benefits.

Important: the product is labeled specifically as a "kumys product" rather than "kumys", because under technical regulation TR CU 033/2013 the name "kumys" is protected and applies only to a beverage made from fresh mare's milk.
